2020 USTA Combine Event Guide

The Combine is open to all American juniors with graduation years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, and registration is open March 6-June 8. The event has reached capacity in each of the last two years. For 2020, the field has been expanded, but registration is first-come, first-serve.

The Combine provides a unique way for juniors to show off their skills in front of college coaches. They will participate in fitness tests, on-court drills with college coaches and education sessions, while coaches and parents also will have informative sessions to learn about the recruiting process. Players will be separated into teams based on their UTR and play three singles matches against another team. Player results count toward UTR, and will be sent to all college coaches from across the country.

Day one will be an optional day for players who want to compete in doubles, while the final day will conclude around 2 p.m. A full event guide with complete details will be available on the UTR registration page.

As of February 2020, a total of 117 participants (at 102 different colleges) from the three previous Combines have since joined a college tennis program, signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) or given a verbal committment. The majority of previous Combine players are still in the recruiting stages as they continue to have successful junior careers.
