Orlando resident Frances Tiafoe, who trains at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, reached his first career Grand Slam quarterfinal last night at the Australian Open by defeating No. 20 seed Grigor Dimitrov 7-5, 7-6(6), 6-7(1), 7-5.

Tiafoe, who is celebrating his 21st birthday today, dispatched the former world No. 3 Dimitrov to continue his career-best run in Melbourne. He next faces 17-time Grand Slam champion and No. 2 seed Rafael Nadal.

Fellow Orlando resident Madison Keys is in action tonight. The 17th-seeded Keys takes on No. 6 seed Elina Svitolina of Ukraine in the fourth round.
