Another weekend of USTA Florida league action is scheduled to take place at the USTA National Campus May 1-3, as the 55 & Over 6.0/8.0 Sectional Championships will get underway Saturday and run through Monday. In total, three team champions will be crowned.

The divisions that will be competing at the event include the 6.0 and 8.0 women along with the 8.0 men. All three will feature squads divided into three flights to begin the weekend for the round-robin portion of the event; all flight winners plus one wild card per division will advance to the knockout stages, which will be played out Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.

The total team count for the weekend consists of 13 in the women’s 6.0 competition, 14 within the women’s 8.0 division, and 12 entrants for the men’s 8.0 competition.

In the last edition of the event, the IRMSL (Magnolia Lakes – Port St. Lucie) 6.0 women captured the crown while in the 8.0 division it was the Broward (Midtown Athletic Club – Weston) men and Rockledge Park women prevailing.
