While American women continue to thrive Down Under at the Australian Open, another group representing the United States will look to find success at the ITF W25 Orlando event hosted by the USTA National Campus Feb. 15-21. The singles field is highlighted by 19-year-old Amanda Anisimova, who brings in a WTA ranking of No. 31.

Qualifying singles began Monday and will conclude Tuesday afternoon, with eight players advancing to fill out the main draw. Doubles is also slated to get underway Tuesday. The first main draw singles matches will take to the courts Wednesday.

Anisimova, who is the top seed after accepting a wild card into the tournament, has not played a competitive match since losing in the first round of the Ostrava Open to Elise Mertens in October. She has drawn fellow American teenager Robin Montgomery in round one. They are two of 10 Americans already in the main draw, with several more looking to earn their spot through qualifying.

Also among the seeded competitors in singles is No. 2 Olga Govortsova (Belarus), No. 3 Renata Zarazua (Mexico), No. 4 Usue Arconada (United States), No. 5 Kurumi Nara (Japan), No. 6 Anhelina Kalinina (Ukraine), No. 7 Varvara Flink (Russia), and No. 8 Maria Camila Osorio Serrano (Colombia).

The 16-team doubles draw has a strong collegiate feel, as the top-seeded American pairing of Quinn Gleason and Ingrid Neel played at Notre Dame and Florida, respectively. No. 2 seeds Beatrice Gumulya and Jessy Rompies, both representing Indonesia, are former Clemson Tigers, while the third-seeded American tandem of Robin Anderson and Catherine Harrison were teammates at UCLA. Rounding out the doubles seeds are No. 4 Naiktha Bains (Great Britain) and Aldila Sutjiadi (Indonesia), a former standout at Kentucky.

The ITF W25 Orlando event is closed to the public. For more information, including draws and daily schedule of play, click here.
