Returning for a Second Year

USTA Adaptive National Championship

The USTA Adaptive National Championship returns to the USTA National Campus October 11-13.

The inaugural USTA Adaptive National Championship was hosted last December. The event featured unified doubles, with one athlete (a player with an intellectual disability or special needs) teaming up with their unified partner (a player without an intellectual disability). Unified doubles helps to break down stereotypes about people with intellectual disabilities in a fun way by empowering individuals to engage through the power of sports.

Taking first place in the competition were Brittany Tagliareni and Liam Gomez of the USTA Florida Section, while Michael O'Connell and John Patch from USTA Texas finished second. USTA New England's Billy Harris and Sebastian Quintero earned a third-place finish; Matt and David Manor representing USTA Texas claimed fourth.
