Orlando Open ATP Challenger

The Orlando Open kicked off the new year Tuesday at the USTA National Campus, wrapping up the first round of the singles main draw action, and getting underway with the second round.
The tournament is the first USTA Pro Circuit ATP Challenger event of the 2019 season and is the highest level of tennis on display to date at the USTA National Campus, with a prize-money pool of more than $54,000.
On Monday, Americans went 8-2 in first round matches, including wild card recipients Sam Riffice, Evan Song, and Michael Redlicki, all of whom advanced.
Notable results on Tuesday included a trio of upsets as three Americans knocked off seeded players in the second round. Riffice and Song each advanced to the third round, knocking off No. 4 seed Filip Peliwo of Canada and No. 10 seed Benjamin Bonzi of France, respectively, while fellow American Marcos Giron took down the sixth-seeded Uladzimir Ignatik of Belarus.
Play continues Wednesday with the remainder of the second round singles matches, while the doubles main draw continues as well. Play begins at 10 a.m. Admission to the Orlando Open is free.
