Every month at the USTA National Campus, an individual player is chosen to receive the Sportsperson of the Month award. These chosen players have exuded exceptional sportsmanship duing their tournament, training or programming towards other players, officials, coaches and staff. The first winners of 2020 can be seen below.

When asked what sportsmanship means to them, here's what Jack Hutchinson and Danielle Ogonowski had to say. "To me sportsmanship is when you are playing in an athletic event or tournament and if you win or lose you are saying good game in a positive and appropriate attitude," said Jack. Danielle had some great words of wisdom for any player. "Good sportsmanship to me is treating the player on the other side of the net and yourself with respect. Even though I am extremely competitive, I also realize that everyone that you meet in life you are able to make an impact on and they are able to have an impact on you. I enjoy leaving a positive impression on the people that I meet through this amazing sport, which at the end of the day they are going to remember more than whether they won or lost the match."
