Summer Camps at the National Campus

10 & Under (Ages 5-10)

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

 

8:00 am - 11:00 am

 

Our Red Ball players will utilize our air-conditioned indoor courts (unique to the USTA National Campus) to provide a comfortable experience for the players.
Our Orange and Green Ball players will utilize our outdoor courts and our air-conditioned indoor courts. 

 

We are committed to developing our junior athletes, players, and people in a dynamic environment. Through a progressive pathway, players will be challenged to reach their full potential and most importantly, have FUN and develop a passion for tennis. Players are grouped based on age, skill level, and ball color (red, orange or green). Players must be 5 years old by the first day of the program week they are registered for. A designation is not required to register.

Youth (Ages 11-17)

CAMPUS YOUTH 1 | (Orange Ball)
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

 

This program is for beginner players. The focus will be on stroke mechanics, footwork, and the athletic skills needed to play the sport. Players will learn how to keep score, sustain a rally, and learn to play quickly. A designation is not required to register.

 

CAMPUS YOUTH 2  | (Green Ball)
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

 

This program is for players who have advanced from our Campus Youth 1 class and are working to further develop their fundamentals to begin to play competitive tennis. The focus will be on more rally and match-based play with an emphasis on stroke mechanics, strategic philosophies, and the athletic skills needed to play the sport. A designation is required to register, please fill out this form and a member of our programming team will reach out accordingly.

 

JUNIOR VARSITY | (Yellow Ball)
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

 

This program is for players who have advanced from our Youth 2 class and are ready for the challenge of yellow ball tennis. Players should be participating in Junior Circuit Tournaments in Yellow Ball and strive to make their middle school or high school team. The focus will be on doubles strategy and formations, singles tactics, match experience, and stronger mechanical proficiency. A designation is required to register, please fill out this form and a member of our programming team will reach out accordingly.

 

CAMPUS YOUTH VARSITY | (Yellow Ball)
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

 

This program is for players who aspire to play on their middle or high school team and for those who compete in Level 7 tournaments. The focus will be on developing more sophisticated shot selections, tactics, and strategies, as they continue to learn with a rally-and-match play curriculum. Players will refine their footwork and athletic skills needed to play at a competitive middle/high school level. A designation is required to register, please fill out this form and a member of our programming team will reach out accordingly.

 

COLLEGIATE | (Yellow Ball) 
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

 

The USTA National Campus Collegiate program is for committed tournament players who are competing in USTA tournaments Levels 6 and above. This program focuses on the aspiring collegiate player, which requires commitment, passion, discipline, and patience from players, coaches, and parents. Our goal is to help players achieve their desires to play for a collegiate team and become independent thinkers, competitors, and problem solvers during tournament play. A designation is required to register, please fill out this form and a member of our programming team will reach out accordingly.

PICKLEBALL - BEGINNER

This program is for intermediate players who are playing in tournaments or looking to play more competitively. The focus will be on strengthening the different strokes that make up the sport: dinking, 3rd shot drop, consistently hitting spin on serves and returns, point play, and strategy for both singles and doubles. A designation is required to register. Please fill out this form and someone from our team will follow up accordingly.

JUNIOR PERFORMANCE (10 & Under)

The Junior Performance program is a progressive pathway of green ball training to yellow ball proficiency to ensure players fully develop the strategies, skills, tactics, and athletic development needed to grow into performance players. Player criteria includes both skill competencies and completion of Net Generation PlayTracker points within the Orange Ball competition.

 

YOUTH PERFORMANCE (Ages 14 & Under)
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The USTA National Campus Youth Performance program is for committed tournament players who compete in state, sectional, and/or national USTA tournament Levels 4 - 7. This program focuses on a long-term development plan to help players become independent competitors and problem solvers during match play and to provide all aspects necessary for the overall development of a competitive tennis player.

 

HIGH-PERFORMANCE ACADEMY
8:00 am - 11:00 am

High-Performance Academy (HPA) summer training sessions are designed to complement our year-long developmental plan for tournament-level players participating in high-level USTA National & Sectional tournaments Level 1-4. Practices feature appropriate playing progressions and proper technique, tactical and tournament guidance, as well as match play and fitness sessions to help players achieve their personal performance and outcome goals.
The HPA program is also designed to structure practices appropriately to help players prepare for the upcoming tournaments, including practicing on court surfaces reflecting the upcoming higher-level tournament needs (when available).

 

ALL PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS REQUIRE: Commitment and patience from players, coaches, and parents. Players in this program demonstrate coachability, effort, and sportsmanship in both practice and competition. Frequently Asked Questions

 

What should my child wear?

We recommend athletic clothing and tennis/running shoes.

 

Does my child need a Racquet?

We strongly recommend your child have a racquet, however, for our beginner camps, the coaches will have one they can borrow on your first day. After that, we recommend renting one through the Pro Shop.

 

What else should my child bring?

We recommend bringing your child with sunscreen applied, and a water bottle. We have lots of refilling stations at the campus to help keep your child hydrated!

 

Will there be a snack break?

Our coaches take lots of breaks to encourage hydration, you are welcome to bring your own snacks. The campus does not provide snacks.

 

What background checks are done on staff?

Safeplay. Additional background checks and fingerprinting are required by the state of Florida.

 

Can I stay while my child is in camp?

Yes, our facility is public and there are plenty of walking and seating areas around the campus.

 

When should I arrive and what's the check-in process?

We recommend you arrive 10-15 minutes before your camp start time. Check-in will be at the Welcome Center. For safety reasons, it is required that your child check in at the front desk every day.

 

My player missed a day of the week, can we make up the missed day or have a refund for the missed day? 

No, make-ups or refunds for missed days are not available for our camps.

 

Are there programs during the summer holidays? 

There is no camp on Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day). The week of July 4th, camps will run from Monday through Wednesday. These weeks have been pro-rated.

 

I don't think my child was placed in the correct level. How does my child change levels after designation?

Our coaches are constantly evaluating players on the court. Any designation changes that need to be made will be made after the first day. 

 

What is the designated pick-up area?

The Welcome Center unless otherwise specified by the coaches.

14 Days or more - Full Refund, 13 to 7 Days - Half-Refund, 6 Days or Less - No Refund

 

What happens if it rains? 

In the event of rain and courts becoming unplayable, programs will be canceled and a prorated refund issued to the credit card on file. You will be notified by text/email of the cancellation. Players will not be able to stay on campus.
