A day behind schedule due to consistent rain in the Orlando area from Tropical Storm Eta, main draw action is slated to get underway Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the ITF W25 Orlando event hosted by the USTA National Campus. After a washout on Monday, the first round of qualifying singles was finally able to take to the courts Tuesday.

A total of 10 American women were among the players moving on to the second and final qualifying round, including Pepperdine’s Ashley Lahey and Jessica Failla, who are both coming off a semifinal appearance at last week’s Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. Other American competitors picking up a win were top-seeded Alycia Parks, wild card Ashlyn Krueger (winner of the ITF J4 junior event held at the National Campus last month), Emina Bektas, Eleana Yu, wild card Hurricane Tyra Black, Jessica Livianu, Chanelle Van Nguyen, and wild card Brooklyn Olson.

Wednesday’s order of play begins with the eight qualifying matches before main draw singles and doubles contests take over. No. 1 seed Anna Kalinskaya (Russia) is set to get her week kicked off with a matchup against wild card Alexandra Yepifanova (USA); Kalinskaya brings in a WTA ranking of No. 110 and reached the second round at this year’s US Open. Two matches pitting Americans going head-to-head will also be featured, as wild card Reese Brantmeier will take on Robin Montgomery and Katie Volynets goes up against Hanna Chang.

Four doubles contests are scheduled to round out the evening. The second-seeded pairing of Jamie Loeb (USA) and Erin Routliffe (New Zealand) will be across the net from American duo Elizabeth Mandlik and Maria Mateas. Additionally, Krueger and Sarah Hamner (USA), who teamed up to capture the ITF J4 doubles titles, have drawn No. 4 seeds Gabriela Ce (Brazil) and Ankita Raina (India).

First matches are set for a 10 a.m. start time Wednesday morning. For more information on the ITF W25 Orlando, click here.
