Junior Programs - Move Up Policy
Please read the following rules and procedures for information regarding Junior Player Move Up Policies:
1. Players are required to meet certain competencies in order to move up a level.
2. National Campus promotes players 3 times during the year. During the approximate time frames of August, December and May.
3. National Campus expects to have players in classes that can beat players from the higher level class. Match score is not always an indicator of readiness to move to the next level of play.
National Campus does not move players based on wins. Technical deficiencies such as grips and swing patterns will be taken into consideration.
4. Top players in a class will not automatically be promoted to a higher level class.
5. No child can be moved up without the approval of the Head Professionals. Only the tennis teaching professionals can promote a player to the next level, not the player or the parent. The team of National Campus tennis professionals meets to discuss all players skills, progress and technique. Other player aspects taken into consideration are age, coachability, maturity, level of commitment, ability.
6. Parents and players will be notified prior to the move up months via email from the Head Professionals.
