2019 Orlando Tennis Series
American Duos Win Doubles Titles
June 22, 2019

The Orlando Tennis Series concludes tomorrow with the singles finals, as the singles semifinals and doubles finals wrapped up today at the USTA National Campus.
The event, which is an ITF World Tennis Tour M15 and W15 event, features some of the top up-and-coming men’s and women’s players from around the world, including both current and former collegians, as well as top American juniors.
The women’s singles final will feature No. 2 seed Tori Kinard and No. 4 seed Natasha Subhash, who both advanced after tough three-set wins on Saturday. The 16-year-old twin sisters Allura Zamarripa and Maribella Zamarripa secured the doubles title, taking down Kimmi Hance and Ashlyn Krueger in straight sets in an all-American final.
Tomorrow’s men’s singles final will pit the second-seeded Ricardo Rodriguez of Venezuela against the No. 6 seed, Diego Hidalgo, of Ecuador. Following their respective semifinals victories, Rodriguez and Hidalgo teamed up in the doubles final, but fell short against the American duo of Trent Bryde and Tyler Zink, who won the title with a straight-sets win.
The ITF World Tennis Tour is the new umbrella name for all former USTA Pro Circuit and Junior Circuit tournaments and serves as the player pathway between the junior game and the elite levels of professional tennis.
The Orlando Tennis Series is the second professional tennis tournament to be held at the USTA National Campus this year. In January, the campus welcomed the Orlando Open, an ATP Challenger 90 men’s event that saw American Marcos Giron win the first ATP title of his career.
