The 2017 US Open came to a close this weekend in New York and a number of Orlando residents impressed at the year's final Grand Slam. The performance of Madison Keys (pictured above) was one of the highlights of the tournament, as the 22-year-old reached her first-career Grand Slam final. She toppled world No. 4 Elina Svitolina en route to an all-American semifinal, defeating 20th-seed Coco Vandeweghe before falling to fellow countrywoman and close friend Sloane Stephens in the final. Keys' performance has vaulted her to No. 12 in the world heading into the final stretch of the 2017 season.

Also making a splash in New York was Jennifer Brady, who secured her first, second and third career US Open wins in her US Open main draw debut, reaching the fourth round before falling to top-seeded Karolina Pliskova. Brady's performance, matching her run earlier this year at the Australian Open, moved her up 26 spots in this week's rankings, to a career-best world No. 65.
